Where to get Thanksgiving dinner in the Capital Region

ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10)– Thanksgiving Day is coming up on Thursday, November 27. If you’re thinking about going out for dinner to celebrate instead of cooking, you may want to put your reservations in ahead of time, as seats are beginning to fill up.

Even if you’d prefer celebrating in the comfort of your own home but don’t want to cook, many restaurants and businesses are offering catering. Here’s where you can find restaurant specials for Thanksgiving in the Capital Region.

Dine-in

Dukes Chophouse, Schenectady

Dukes Chophouse, located in Rivers Casino in Schenectady, is offering a three-course Thanksgiving dinner. The dinner includes an Autumn salad, a turkey dinner and a caramel cheesecake.

Guests must be 21 years old or older to enter. To make a reservation, call (518) 579-8850 or visit the host stand.

Catskill Elks Lodge, Catskill

The Catskill Elks Lodge is hosting a free Thanksgiving Dinner for the community, Dinner will be served at 12:30 p.m.

According to the Elks Lodge, seating is limited and reservations are required. Reservations are to be placed by November 24 by calling (518) 943-9205.

Dine-in and Take-out

Innovo Kitchen, Latham

Innovo Kitchen, located at 1214 Troy Schenectady Road, is offering both a dine-in and catered Thanksgiving dinner. The dine-in option will include a three-course meal from 11:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.; the at-home meals include all the fixings and will feed five to six people.

Thirsty Owl, Saratoga Springs

Thirsty Owl, located at 184 South Broadway in Saratoga Springs, is having a buffet on Thanksgiving with seatings at noon, 2 p.m. and 4:15 p.m. They are also offering cold to-go boxes between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. You can view the dine-in and take-out menus on the Thirsty Owl website.

19th Hole Cafe, Duanesburg

19th Hole Cafe, located at Briar Creek Golf Course at 2347 Pangburn Road in Duanesburg, is offering both dine-in and take-out meals for Thanksgiving. Buffet seating times are available for noon, 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day. Take-out meals are available for pickup only on Wednesday, November 26 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Reservations and take-out orders must be placed by Tuesday, November 25. To make a reservation or place an order, call (518) 355-2314.

Peppermill Family Restaurant, South Glens Falls

The Peppermill Family Restaurant, located at 110 Main Street in South Glens Falls, is offering both dine-in and take-out Thanksgiving menus. Seatings and meal pickups will be on Thanksgiving from noon until 7 p.m.; the last dine-in seating will be at 6 p.m.

The restaurant will also be open for breakfast Thanksgiving Day from 7 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. To place orders or to make a reservation, call (518) 793-4606.

Take-out

Maria’s Cafe and Catering, Schenectady

Maria’s Cafe and Catering, located at 412 Union Street in Schenectady, is offering a take-out Thanksgiving dinner to feed eight to 10 people or individual meals. The dinner will include turkey and its fixings with a dessert option.

Take-out meals must be picked up on November 26 or 27 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. A deposit is required on all meals. To order a take-out dinner, call (518) 280-6902. 

2Shea Catering, Albany

2Shea Catering, located at 257 Washington Avenue Extension in Albany, is offering a Thanksgiving dinner for take-out. The meal will include a main course, sides and a dessert to feed 10 to 12 people.

All orders are due by Friday, November 21 with pickup on Thanksgiving Day from 10 a.m. to noon. A credit card is required at the time of order placement. To place an order, call (518) 456-4222 ext. 3, email reservations@2sheacatering.com, or visit the caterer’s website.

Signal 30 BBQ, Cohoes

Signal 30 BBQ, located at 201 Columbia Street in Cohoes, is offering four different Thanksgiving take home dinners. The dinners are based on the amount of people looking to eat or just a turkey and gravy option.

All orders must be placed by November 19 and pickup with be on Wednesday, November 26 from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. A full payment is required to reserve your dinner. To place an order, email signal30bbq@gmail.com.

Meat and Company, Niskayuna

Meat and Company, located at 2321 Nott Street East in Niskayuna, is offering a Thanksgiving meal package that includes turkey, the fixings and dessert that will feed eight to 10 people. The business is also offering individual meals for take-out.

All orders must be placed by November 21, with pickup on the 26th between 11 a.m. and 8 p.m. To order, call (518) 344-6119.

PDT Catering, Malta

PDT Catering, located at 2861 Route 9 in Malta, is offering multiple Thanksgiving dinner packages to go, as well as appetizers, salads and desserts. The packages include a traditional Thanksgiving dinner, a contemporary dinner, or an option to order the sides separately.

According to the caterer, all orders must be placed by November 14 and are expected to sell out. All meals will be available for cold pickup on Wednesday, November 26 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and for hot pickup on Thanksgiving Day from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Standard Fare, Saratoga

Standard Fare, located at 21 Phila Street in Saratoga Springs, is offering Thanksgiving sides and desserts available for pickup. The restaurant is offering a sides bundle including mashed potatoes, mac ‘n cheese, wilted greens, herbed fregola, Broccolini and a crunchy Caesar, enough to feed eight to 10 people.

“We all know that every holiday, it’s the sides and desserts that take up most of your day — and Standard Fare wants to give that time back to you and your family,” says co-owner Zac Denham. “Let us take care of those details so you can focus on what really matters.”

A La Carte options and dessert options are also available. All orders must be made between November 10 to November 23and will be available for pickup on Thanksgiving Day from 8 a.m. to noon. All orders can be placed on the restaurant’s website.
