Ben Johnson couldn’t keep his empotions bottled up about the Bears’ unbelievable 31-27 win Saturday night.
“[Screw] the Packers,'” he told the Bears when they gathered in the locker room. “[Freak]-ing hate those guys.”
That Johnson would say it out loud is no shock — the Bears-Packers rivalry is the oldest in the NFL. That the Bears would post the video of it is remarkable.
Johnson later got a game ball from quarterback Caleb Williams, who grew emotional describing the impact Johnson had on his season.
“For me personally, he’s been monumental in my life so far,” Williams said, before pausing to collect himself. “And so for his first playoff win as Chicago Bears head coach ….”
Williams flipped Johnson the ball and gave him a hug.

Before he got one of his own, Johnson handed out three game balls:
• To tight end Colston Loveland, who caught a team-best eight balls for 137 yards and one touchdown.
• To defensive end Montez Sweat, who Johnson said “caught his eye” with quarterback pressures in the second half.
• And Williams, who Johnson said was “straight ice” when he needed to be.
Williams told his teammates on Friday night that the postseason was for building legacies. He reminded them of that Saturday.
Then Johnson led the Bears in his patented “Good, Better, Best” cheer.
