New Ulm is home to the Minnesota Seedswoman traveling exhibit through Jan.26, the New Ulm Journal reports. If you’re feeling the chill this winter, you might find this story heartwarming. WCCO News has a list of joyful animal-related stories, ranging from a cat that arrived in Minnesota via China in a shipping container to the City of Bloomington’s new tunnel to help turtles cross the street

An 11-year-old from Minneapolis is on the cover of The Snowboarder’s Journal. WCCO News also shares this story about Mickey Watkins, who was seen riding a plastic tote bin lid down a hill near his home. “Watkins’ eyes and smile reveal emotions snowboarders know well: a blend of excitement and apprehension as the ‘board’ starts to slide.”
