A man was arrested after he was caught on video sneaking into a backyard in Miami Springs to steal an electric scooter—and authorities say it’s not the first time.
Miami Springs police say Carlos Fernandez is the man seen on video on an unknown date slipping into a backyard and approaching an electric scooter. He appears to be looking around and wearing something on his head.
On Instagram, police said Fernandez is a repeat offender who was arrested several months ago “for the very same crime.”
“He is also well known throughout Miami-Dade County for committing similar crimes,” police said.
It was not immediately clear what charges Fernandez may face.
