Tractor-trailer rollover crash in Fort Lauderdale causes fuel spill, delays

Crews were working to clean up a fuel spill after a rollover crash involving a tractor-trailer on a major roadway in Fort Lauderdale on Tuesday afternoon left six people hurt.

The crash happened in the eastbound lanes of State Road 84 east of Interstate 95.

Aerial footage showed the tractor-trailer on its side on the overpass next to two pickup trucks as multiple fire rescue crews responded.

Fort Lauderdale Fire Rescue officials said six people suffered minor injuries, including four who were taken to local hospitals.

The crash had a portion of State Road 84 closed in the area.

Officials said the crews were working to mitigate a diesel fuel spill from the tractor-trailer, and said there would be significant delays in the area during the cleanup efforts.
