Track flight delays and cancellations at JFK, LaGuardia, Newark amid shutdown

Hundreds of flights scheduled for Friday were cut at major U.S. airports as part of the Federal Aviation Administration’s effort to phase in 10% reductions because of the government shutdown.

The 40 airports are in what the FAA termed “high-volume markets” and include JFK, LaGuardia, and Newark. With the holiday season rapidly approaching, people are concerned about the state of air travel nationally.

Here’s a look at flight delay and cancellation data for the three major hubs. The information comes from FlightAware and is updated hourly.
