‘Super sketchy': Ex-employee of Miami Beach charter boat owner accused of teen sex trafficking speaks

A former employee of a Miami Beach charter boat business owner arrested in a pair of alleged teen sex trafficking cases is speaking out about his shocking behavior during her time working for him.

Kutay Satiroglu, 45, was arrested last week on charges of human trafficking, lewd and lascivious battery on a child, and contributing to the delinquency of a child after a 17-year-old girl said she began a sexual relationship with him earlier this year, an arrest report said.

He’s also facing a new human trafficking charge as well as a charge of unlawful sexual activity with a minor after a second alleged victim came forward.

One of the teens said Satiroglu, whose business books yacht charters, had introduced her to the “yacht party scene” when she was 17 and after she’d moved in with him at his apartment on Collins Avenue where three other females were living along with his wife and two small children.

She said she was forced to attend the parties and forced to take drugs including Tusi, cocaine and ketamine, and was coerced to have sex with several of Satiroglu’s friends and partygoers, the report said.

The other alleged victim he also had her engage in sex with his friends in exchange for money, giving her drugs during the sessions and whenever they would throw parties, the report said.

The teen said he was physically abusive toward her on numerous occasions, often beating her whenever he was in a bad mood, the report said.

On Thursday, NBC6 spoke with Krissila Calderon, who said she used to manage Satiroglu’s yacht business.

“I was surprised in the sense that he actually got charged, but the allegations against him? It was not surprising at all, I knew Kutay was that type of man,” Calderon said.

Calderon said as she worked for Satiroglu, she started to question his behavior.

“It was to the point of ‘okay, drink-drink-drink, okay, come, do drugs-do drugs’ and then you see a girl passed out and he is disappearing into a room with a girl,” she said. “It looked super sketchy.”

Calderon, who wasn’t underage at the time, said Satiroglu began to berate her, and even shared a video of one of the encounters.

“So a charter didn’t go through that day, he was very upset with me and he basically told me, ‘ok, to make it up to me, I want you to spin around three times like a dog,’” she said.

She also said there was one encounter where he tried to force himself on her.

“Eventually he started sleeping on the boat, we had an important business meeting so he told me ‘wake me up at this time for the business meeting.’ I went to wake him up and when I went to wake him up, he tried to make a sexual advance on me in which I had to basically fight him off,” she said.

She ran off and called the police, and is now working with prosecutors to pursue more charges against Satiroglu.

Satiroglu remains behind bars without bond while he awaits trial. If convicted he faces up to life in prison.
