St. John’s is moving on from general manager Matt Abdelmassih, the Daily News confirmed.
A St. John’s alum who later served as an assistant coach under Chris Mullen, Abdelmassih returned to the program in 2023 following Rick Pitino’s hiring as head coach.
Abdelmassih had been in charge of raising NIL money for the basketball team.
His exit comes less than a year after St. John’s won its first Big East regular-season championship since 1985 and its first conference tournament since 2000.
