(KRON) — Sprouts Farmers Market is opening a new store in the East Bay this fall. The new location is set to open on Friday, Nov. 14 in San Leandro, Sprouts announced in a press release.
It will be located at 1188 E. 14th St., near the IHOP on Davis Street. The San Leandro opening marks Sprouts’ newest location in California.
Sprouts will be hosting an in-person hiring event on Tuesday, Sept. 30. It will be from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Crowne Plaza Silicon Valley N (address: 32083 Alvarado-Niles Road) in Union City.
According to Sprouts, this store opening will “bring 95 full- and part-time career opportunities to the Northern California region.”
The San Leandro location adds to Sprouts’ growing presence in the Bay Area. In the last 12 months, Sprouts has opened stores in San Jose, Pittsburg and Hayward.
In 2024, Sprouts was named retailer of the year by Progressive Grocer.
Sprouts opened its first store in 2022 in Chandler, Ariz., a suburb of Phoenix, where the company is currently headquartered. There are more than 400 Sprouts across 23 states in the country — 156 of them in California.
