Spotty PM Storms Saturday, rain chances increase later on Sunday

We’ll see a few showers potentially clip our northern counties this morning but otherwise we’ll have a good amount of dry time for Saturday. Expect a mix of clouds and sun with highs in the mid 80s.

A few spot storms may develop this afternoon which could potentially impact the metro and all of the outdoor events happening.

Tonight’s chance of showers and storms hinges on what happens on Saturday. More widespread scattered storms could help to stabilize the atmosphere and lesson coverage of rain overnight. Fewer storms this afternoon could lead to increased activity overnight into early Sunday morning.

Sunday doesn’t look to be a washout at this point in time and temperatures will once again climb into the mid 80s with mostly cloudy skies. More widespread rain chances enter the forecast later on Sunday and through the evening.

As we continue through next week, we’ll see an unsettled pattern with multiple waves of much needed rain. Temperatures will be in the low 80s and upper 70s for most of the work week.
