NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. (WIVB) — The Aquarium of Niagara is celebrating Halloween with a weekend full of festive, family-friendly fun, including free trick-or-treating, a pirate takeover, and underwater pumpkin carving.
The excitement begins Friday, Oct. 24, with Candy on the Commons from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. The free outdoor community trick-or-treating event is returning for its fourth year, offering families a safe alternative to traditional Halloween night. More than 20 local organizations will host candy stations, and guests can enjoy tarot card readings, ambassador animal meet-and-greets, music, a photo booth, and more.
The celebration continues Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 25 and 26, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., with All Hallows Seas, a pirate-themed weekend included with regular admission. The event will feature a pirate impersonator on Saturday, a giant pirate ship installation on Sunday, pirate crafts, games, and face painting. Visitors can also enjoy Halloween-themed sea lion presentations at 11 a.m., 1 p.m., and 3:30 p.m., “Frightening Feeding” presentations at 1:30 and 3 p.m., and live underwater pumpkin carving at noon.
Kids who visit in costume can enjoy discounted admission for $12 throughout the weekend.
