Arrington was found guilty of sexually abusing a child he was familiar with numerous times between 2018 and 2021 at a home in Schenectady they both resided in. The victim, now 16 years old, testified under oath that she was nine years old when the assaults began, and that throughout the two and a half year span, Arrington committed around 50 separate instances of sexual assault against her.

“When Special Victim’s Bureau Chief John Carson first met this now young lady and heard her story, he was convinced of her credibility and moved by her strength,” Schenectady County District Attorney Robert Carney stated. “She was able to tell her story at trial in such detail through Mr. Carson’s questioning that these 12 jurors were convinced of her truthfulness, and were unpersuaded by Mr. Arrington’s blanket denials. It was a quick deliberation.”

Arrington faces a maximum of 25 years to life in prison when he’s sentenced on January 7. Schenectady County Court Judge Matthew Sypniewski presided over the trial.
