SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — San Diego Wave FC is gearing up for its annual Fan Appreciation Night during the club’s final regular-season home match of the year this Saturday, Oct. 18 at 7 p.m. at Snapdragon Stadium. The Wave will take on Chicago Stars FC in what promises to be a night full of festivities, giveaways and celebration for loyal fans.
To mark the occasion, Wave FC will be handing out up to 10,000 limited-edition, hockey-inspired long-sleeve tees to fans in attendance. Gates open at 5:30 p.m. and fans are encouraged to arrive early to ensure they don’t miss out on the exclusive giveaway.
Before the match, fans can enjoy Fan Fest on the northeast lawn outside Snapdragon Stadium from 3:30-6:30 p.m. The pregame celebration includes:
- Free bracelets from official team partner Pura Vida (first 500 attendees)
- Maya’s Cookies pop-up, selling gourmet vegan treats
- Hair braiding, face painting, photo booths, and poster-making stations
- Games including inflatable soccer, corn hole, and panna court by 24-Hour Fitness
- Food trucks and community vendors
As part of the night’s charitable efforts, Wave FC is teaming up with Agramont for the third annual Fill the Truck event. Fans are encouraged to bring new toys and blankets to donate to local nonprofit partners: Humble Design, Chicano Federation, and ASYMCA. Donors will be entered into a raffle to win a signed 2025 Wave FC jersey and a custom 2026 jersey.
The celebrations don’t stop at kickoff. During the match Soapy Joe’s will surprise one lucky stadium row with 25 free car washes. There will also be special halftime fireworks and a light show.
Wave FC is also offering exclusive deals throughout the week, including merchandise discounts online and in collaboration with local partners.
And as part of Kids Free San Diego, kids get in free with a paid adult ticket—available while supplies last.
