SCHENECTADY, N.Y. (NEWS10) — Rivers Casino and Resort in Schenectady is looking to add new table games dealers to their team. The casino will be offering a free dealer training academy starting on November 10.
Open to all skill levels, the program offers students guided instruction in dealing Blackjack and a multitude of other popular table games. Applicants who pass a final live dealing audition will acquire their state gaming license and be offered a part-time or full-time table games dealer position at the casino, earning wages and tips totaling over $25 per hour, benefits, tuition reimbursement opportunities, and a 401(k) plan.
The six-week dealer school will run 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday from November 10 to December 22. Candidates must be at least 21 years old and able to work all shifts, weekends and holidays.
Classes will be held at Rivers’ Training and Development Center located at 1473 Erie Boulevard. You can apply for the fall academy through the casino’s website.
