Riders diverted as SEPTA's Center City Trolley Tunnel stays closed for repairs

SEPTA announced on Wednesday that the Center City Trolley Tunnel will remain closed for at least one more week as crews continue to work on maintenance.

All of the T trolleys are being diverted to 40th and Market streets with service starting and ending at this station.

The following trolley routes will not run in Center City as repairs are being made to overhead wires in the Center City tunnel:

  • [T5] 36
  • [T1] 10
  • [T2] 34
  • [T3] 13
  • [T4] 11

For anyone looking to travel into Center City via SEPTA, riders can take the Market-Frankford Line from 40th Street Station to get to their destination.

To get from Center City to University City and Southwest Philadelphia, SEPTA says riders can take the Market-Frankford Line from 13th Street in order to connect with trolley routes at 40th Street.

SEPTA says that these changes will remain in effect until next week or later.
