For Wendy Davis, Christmas only means one thing this year: it’s been a month since she’s seen her father.
“It’s been very odd being surrounded by everyone’s normal Christmas joy, everyone is so happy and excited for the holidays and I could not be farther from joyous,” Wendy Davis said.
Where Dan Davis is and what happened to him remains a mystery.
On November 24, the 59-year-old was in a car accident while on his way to work at 115 Bourbon Street in Merrionette Park. He declined medical attention after the crash, and a responding police officer drove him to the bar.
According to video, he stayed there for about an hour then took off on foot in the early morning hours of November 25.
Ring doorbell cameras in the area captured him walking, looking dazed and disoriented.
He was last seen on video footage on November 26, outside St. Donatus Parish in Blue Island.

“We have dedicated people on our search team that are periodically calling hospitals every day, all over the area and not only here, but in his hometown in Indiana,” Wendy said.
Wendy is spreading the word however she can. She’s making videos on social media and organizing search parties.
She said his credit card hasn’t been used and his phone is dead and untraceable.
The Cook County Sheriff’s Department bought a dog out to trace his scent, but it stopped near a fence-lined rail yard in Blue Island.
“The theory is also that maybe he stopped and turned and retraced his steps at that point,” Wendy explained. “Or maybe someone stopped and picked him up at that point. We are just as confused as everybody else listening to this.”
Wendy is offering a $500 reward to anyone who can provide video of her dad after November 26.
Chicago Police are leading the investigation and tell NBC 5 it is ongoing, but offered no further information.
