A reward is now being offered after two men were killed during a Little Village robbery Saturday evening.
According to Chicago police, an armed suspect entered a business in the 3800 block of West 26th Street just before 6 p.m. Saturday.
That man stole merchandise from the business and shot two men, ages 25 and 63, according to authorities.
Both of the victims in the case were transported to an area hospital, where they were pronounced dead.
The suspect fled the scene in a white SUV, driving southbound on Springfield Avenue after the shooting, police said.
Now, a $10,000 reward is being offered by Cook County Crime Stoppers for information that helps solve the killings.
“This tragedy has deeply affected the Little Village community. Two hardworking individuals lost their lives in a senseless act of violence,” said Paul Rutherford, Executive Director of Cook County Crime Stoppers, in a statement. “We’re asking anyone who knows something to do the right thing, help bring justice to these victims and closure to their families. Even the smallest detail could be the key to solving this case. And remember, all tips to Crime Stoppers are completely anonymous.”
Anyone with information on the shooting is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-535-STOP (7867). Tips can also be left on the Chicago Police Department’s anonymous tip website.
