POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. (NEWS10) — A Poughkeepsie man was arrested after a narcotics investigation on Tuesday. Justin Ellis, 22, faces multiple charges.
Charges
- Second-degree criminal possession of a weapon
- Third-degree criminal possession of a weapon
- Third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance
- Fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance
The Dutchess County District Attorney’s Office Drug Task Force said it executed a search warrant on a home on Flannery Avenue in Poughkeepsie when it found cocaine, fentanyl, drug packaging materials, U.S. currency, digital scales, and other items believed to be involved with the sale and distribution of narcotics. The DA’s Office also said it found a loaded 40 caliber handgun with a defaced serial number.
Ellis was taken into custody without incident. He was arraigned in the City of Poughkeepsie Justice Court and placed in the Dutchess County Jail.
