Ferguson allegedly stabbed two women at Ya-Ya’s Place Family Day Care on the 5700 block of Germantown Avenue back on Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2025.

One of the women was stabbed in the stomach while the second woman was stabbed in the hand, police said. They were both taken to the hospital and placed in stable condition. The owner of the day care said both women worked at the establishment.

Ferguson is charged with aggravated assault, criminal trespass, attempt to commit homicide, possessing an instrument of crime, terroristic threats and other related offenses.

While Ferguson is in custody, police have not yet revealed whether or not he knew the two women or a possible motive behind the attack. He is scheduled for a preliminary hearing on Dec. 1, 2025, according to online court records. Those records don’t list the name of a public defender who could speak on his behalf.
