The houseboat, Mirene, is owned by Stewart Brand, author of The Whole Earth Catalog and a leading figure in the counter-culture revolution in the 1960’s.

The 64-foot working wooden tugboat was built in 1912 and renovated to include one bedroom and one bath. It also touts a gourmet kitchen, a library/salon and a tender, or additional small boat, among other amenities. Its large dock has a view of San Francisco and easy access to cruise the Bay.
