A former Little League sensation from Philadelphia is on her way to the big leagues.
On Thursday, Nov. 20, Mo’ne Davis was selected as 10th overall to head to Los Angeles to join their Women’s Pro Baseball League team.
Davis is credited as being the first girl to earn a win as a pitcher in the Little League World Series and is no stranger to the spotlight.
When she showed up at the Washington Nationals Youth Baseball Academy back in August to compete for a roster spot, Davis tried out in center field and took part in a bullpen session.
The four team circuit is expected to officially launch in 2026.
