Patriots rookie running back TreVeyon Henderson will be available for the Patriots on Sunday against the Jets after clearing concussion protocol.
Henderson suffered the head injury in last week’s win over the Ravens but was back on the practice field Wednesday in a red non-contact jersey. He had shed the non-contact jersey by Friday.
The 2025 second-round pick has 148 carries this season for 776 yards with seven touchdowns. He’s come on strong since the midway point of the season and is one of the favorites to earn NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year.
Henderson rejoins Rhamondre Stevenson and D’Ernest Johnson in the Patriots’ backfield.
Additionally, fullback Jack Westover (illness) has been added to the injury report as questionable.
Wide receiver Kayshon Boutte (concussion), linebackers Robert Spillane (ankle) and Harold Landry III (knee), defensive tackle Khyiris Tonga (foot) and left guard Jared Wilson (concussion) have already been ruled out for Sunday’s game. The Patriots placed Mack Hollins on injured reserve Saturday, and defensive tackle Milton Williams is not available after he was not activated off injured reserve. Wide receiver DeMario Douglas (hamstring) and cornerback Charles Woods (ankle) are also questionable for Sunday’s game.
