Parking is still free in Balboa Park on these holidays

As many San Diegans are still reeling from the onset of paid parking enforcement at Balboa Park, some may be interested to remember that parking is still free in the park during federal holidays.

Parking will not be enforced in Balboa Park lots on the holidays listed below. However, enforcement will still take place during holidays on parking meters, yellow commercial zones, short-term green zones and one-to-two-hour time parking zones, according to the City of San Diego’s website.

The city encourages everyone to read parking signage for time frame restrictions and guidelines.
