Pa. high school announces sudden passing of junior student

A Pennsylvania high school is mourning the loss of one of their own.

According to a Facebook post by the Archbishop John Carroll High School, junior John McCullough, 17, passed away suddenly.

In an obituary for John posted online, it says that he died on Nov. 15, 2025, from “an unexpected cardiac event.”

John survived a brain tumor when he was younger, the obituary says.

According to the obituary, John played soccer and baseball.

The school says that it will remember John as “a dear friend, beloved teammate and hard working student and athlete.”
