Not giving up, not giving in

I’m going to be blunt. The challenges facing news, especially local news, are the greatest we’ve ever seen. Funding cuts, legal threats, tech companies disrupting the news you see in your feed. Those are just a few of the many attacks we’re seeing on our local coverage.

But at MinnPost, we’re not giving up, and we’re not giving in.

Even though we’re under siege, we have the tools to continue to succeed and innovate. In the past year we’ve expanded our nonprofit newsroom and invested in serving more Minnesotans in new ways. We’re keeping our foot on the gas and looking to enter 2026 (a major midterm election year) full steam ahead.

What makes me most confident in MinnPost’s future, though, is you.

Every donation made by a reader like you, whatever the amount, keeps our paywall-free local news going strong and brings Minnesotans deeper into the critical issues facing our state. Will you donate now to be a part of this work?

Each donation we receive charges up our team (bonus points if it has a nice, encouraging note along with it!) and powers our nonprofit newsroom into the future. Together, we can take on the challenges facing local news and make our communities stronger.

Are you with us?

P.S. I’m not blowing smoke when I say any amount makes a difference. Five bucks, 10 bucks, 25 bucks, a million bucks — it all adds up to paywall-free local news that makes our state stronger. Thanks in advance!
