The Down Syndrome Association of Central New Jersey is a vital resource for families who receive a Down Syndrome diagnosis in pregnancy or after their child is born and supports them for life.
The association also takes the time to help communities learn about Down Syndrome in order to promote inclusion.
NBC10 caught up with the President of the Down Syndrome Association of Central New Jersey Joellen Boyd about the work that the organization does and how she got involved.
Recently, NBC10, Telemundo62, and Comcast NBCUniversal announced that $227,272 has been awarded to six local nonprofit organizations through the 2025 NBCUniversal Local Impact Grants.
The Down Syndrome Association of Central New Jersey was one of the recipients, receiving $25,000.
