BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A Niagara Falls man is in critical condition after he was hit by a city employee while going the wrong way on a one-way street, according to the mayor’s office.
It is alleged that a 65-year-old man was riding an e-bike westbound on Ferry Avenue Friday morning when he was hit. The avenue is a one-way street for east-bound traffic.
A 46-year-old employee of the City of Niagara Falls was driving a city owned vehicle when she turned onto Ferry Avenue and hit the man, the mayor’s office said. Police responded to the scene just before 10 a.m. Friday.
The man is staying at the Trauma Intensive Care Unit at ECMC. Charges are pending as an investigation remains ongoing.
