ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) — Pioneer Plaza will celebrate the soft opening of a new coffeehouse on Saturday, October 11. From 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., Amped Coffee House will serve up its full menu of healthy comfort foods for breakfast and lunch.
From coffee and tea to made-to-go breakfast and lunch options, Ampted Coffee House’s menu features fresh salads, sandwiches, soups, and gluten-free spätzle mac and cheese that are made with fresh and local ingredients. Owner Sydney Gile said her passion for coffee began when she was delivering lattes while pursuing her master’s degree.
“We’re proud to serve Utopian Coffee, which I first discovered while going to school in the Midwest,” Gile said. “It’s the best coffee I had out there, and I’m so excited to bring it to the Capital Region.”
Amped Coffee House will celebrate a larger grand opening in early November. The store hours are Monday through Saturday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., and open for Sunday brunch from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The coffeehouse is also partnered with Saratoga Tea and Honey Co., West End Bagels, The Vermont Spatzle Company, and Mae’s Cottage Bakery. Gile said that since delivering lattes, she’s hoped to create a place that brings people together over great food and better coffee.
“My dream for Amped Coffee House is to be a quick, convenient stop for coffee, but also to be a place where people stay, relax, and connect,” Gile said.
