ST. LOUIS – Drivers who use Tucker Boulevard under Interstate 64 in the city of St. Louis will need to determine alternate routes over the next two weekends, as crews will close the road to make repairs to I-64 bridge girders struck by a salt truck last winter.
All work is weather permitting.
Starting Friday, Oct. 10, at 9 a.m., crews will close Tucker Boulevard under the interstate between Chouteau Avenue and Spruce Avenue.
In addition, crews will close two right lanes on eastbound I-64 that night, starting at 7 p.m. for the repair work. One lane on I-64 will reopen Monday, Oct. 13 by 5 a.m.
The second lane and Tucker Boulevard will reopen Monday, Oct. 13 by 5 p.m. During the closure, drivers can use 14th Street to detour under the interstate.
The following week, starting Friday, Oct. 17 at 9 a.m., crews will again close Tucker Boulevard under the interstate between Chouteau Avenue and Spruce Avenue.
There are no lane closures planned for I-64 during this weekend. Tucker will reopen Monday, Oct. 20 by 5 p.m.
The detour for this closure is 14th Street.
