SCHENECTADY, N.Y. (NEWS10) — Market 32 and Price Chopper have launched a new pet food drive. The initiative comes as Market 32 celebrates its 10th anniversary.
Through October 4, Market 32 and Price Chopper shoppers will have the opportunity to purchase and donate a bag containing five dog food or cat food items. Each bag costs $10.
All donated bags will be handed out to animal shelters local to each store. The pet food will not only go toward animals waiting to be adopted, but also to outreach programs that support pet owners experiencing food insecurity.
“Pets are family too,” said Pam Cerrone, director of community relations for Market 32 and Price Chopper. “Together, we can make sure that every pet gets the care and nourishment they deserve.”
