CHESTERFIELD, Mo. — A Lemay man has been charged with breaking into a Chesterfield church and stealing a high-value 3D printer.
According to the Chesterfield Police Department, the theft happened on Sept. 10 at The Crossing Church on North Eatherton Road.
Police said Benjamin P. Stubbs, 33, worked for a roofing company hired by the church. Stubbs entered the church and took a Bambu 3D printer from the premises.
As Stubbs loaded the printer into a vehicle driven by another suspect, police arrived and apprehended Stubbs before he could leave.
The St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office charged Stubbs with first-degree burglary and stealing – $750 or more. He is being held on a $50,000 cash-only bond. Online county inmate records indicate he’s scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 19.
