“Lena is an accomplished journalist with a strong track record of excellent, community-focused reporting,” said Elizabeth Flores, Vice President of News, NBC10 Philadelphia and Telemundo62. “Her professionalism, experience, and dedication to telling meaningful stories will make her a great addition to our newsroom and to our audiences across the region.”

“I have such fond memories as a child of visiting loved ones in Philadelphia, as well as competing at Penn Relays in high school and college,” said Tillett. “Although it was a big city, it felt close-knit and intimate. I’m looking forward to learning about the many different neighborhoods and couldn’t be more thrilled to start the year Philadelphia is celebrating America’s 250th birthday!”

Previously, Tillett worked as an anchor, reporter and producer for WOWT-TV in Omaha, Nebraska, and as a freelance reporter for News 12 Bronx and Brooklyn in New York. Her career began as a production assistant at ESPN Radio in New York City.

A native of the Washington, D.C. area, Tillett earned her bachelor’s degree in English and Government from Georgetown University and her master’s degree in news and documentary journalism from New York University.
