DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As a Forensic Psychological Services Associate, you will provide specialized psychological services to forensic patients who are either deemed incompetent to stand trial, awaiting sentencing, facing psychiatric challenges that affect their prison adjustment, or have been found not guilty by reason of insanity. You will perform initial assessments of new admissions, select the most appropriate psychological treatment interventions, determine the structure and focus of therapy sessions, and customize positive reinforcement programs to meet the needs of individual patients or specific wards. This role requires the ability to address psychiatric issues and ensure the effective management of referral related forensic cases. In addition, you will complete all necessary documentation in compliance with departmental and regulatory standards, participate in forensic meetings and supervisory sessions; and resolve routine unit problems as they arise.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per weekWork hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday – Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. Your schedule may change based on operational needs.Overtime and travel as neededTelework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONSMinimum Experience and Training Requirements:A Master’s Degree in psychology or a closely related field which includes fifteen credits in Psychology. Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree.

Legal Requirements: A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination and drug screening.This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
