Each day, you will deliver quality customer service planning and execute service work as per customer order.The work model for the role is: Working from home-based office, will travel to customer sites to perform service work as assigned. Working with the customer (while on-site) to identify opportunities to improve the customer’s operations and eliminate pain points.• Performing field service tasks, identifying technical issues, and performing analysis through remote or on-site activity in service categories and products for which they are certified to perform.• Preparing material lists needed for service activity and ensuring that all materials, parts, and equipment are available and of appropriate quality for service activities.• Acting as trainer when needed, for field service associates and customers.Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology or equivalent military experience OR Associates Degree with 2 or more year’s experience in servicing critical power equipment.
PDU (Power Distribution Unit), STS (Static Transfer Switch), UPS (Uninterruptable Power Source) and 3 phase power distribution equipment experience highly preferred.Must be willing to travel up to 80% (some overnight to be expected).Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.ABB Smart Power provides energy distribution solutions for data centers, industrial and manufacturing plants, critical infrastructure and commercial buildings.
