Overview Engineer (E30-5): Bowhead seeks to network with an Engineer to join our team for an upcoming potential addition to our contract supporting Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD), E Department. The Engineer will work directly with the client designing, analyzing, producing, testing, and delivering innovative, complex, and unique technical support assignments. This position will require onsite work at the Bowhead office or Navy installation. Responsibilities Job duties include but are not limited to: analyzing, redlining, updating drawings designing hardware reviewing test and inspection documentation QA/testing systems being built (hands on system) Applying engineering principles and techniques in the development of quality assurance evaluations and tests on weapons systems and related component systems Creating schedules and work estimates to determine the feasibility of a project based on the analysis of collected data Analyzing reports, drawings, blueprints, and test documentation related to LCS GMM and MK 38 M4 Console Other duties as assigned Qualifications Bachelor of Science (BS) degree from an accredited college or university in an engineering, scientific, or technical discipline At least 3 years professional experience supporting a Naval customer Requires knowledge of principles and practices of mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or systems engineering. Experience with mechanical systems engineering design software tools (such as SolidWorks or ProEngineer) Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team Physical Demands: Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must currently hold a security clearance at the Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced Experience: 8+ years in utility engineering, with direct involvement in regional distribution planning.

• Project Management: Experience leading engineering projects from concept to construction.

• Familiarity with design and construction processes.

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and adapt quickly to changing priorities.
