Posting Summary
Rutgers University-Camden seeks Early Childhood Teachers. These positions will report to the Assistant Director/Supervisor of the Early Learning Research Academy. The Pre-K Teacher will be responsible for establishing and maintaining a classroom environment that utilizes space, materials, routines, and guidance techniques to effectively facilitate physical, emotional, intellectual and social development of the children.

Minimum Education and Experience
– Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education.
– NJ P-3 certification (standard or provisional) Required

Preferred Qualifications
* Mastery of immersion instruction, with strong talent in “sheltered” delivery and scaffolding of subject-area content * Training in balanced literacy and early childhood development preferred. * Knowledge of child development theory and practice. * Knowledge of applicable safety procedures. * Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide * range of constituencies in a diverse community. Ability to evaluate, design, and implement curriculum, testing, and/or teaching methodologies. * Ability to provide activities for children that encourage healthy growth. * Ability to exercise control and maintain classroom discipline. * Ability to provide a supportive and caring environment for children. * Ability to develop and present educational programs and/or workshops.
Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish preferred.
