In-N-Out to open its first Tennessee locations this week

Famous for its palm tree designs and Double-Doubles, In-N-Out is opening its first locations in Tennessee after the Baldwin Park-founded company began branching out to the East Coast.

Tennesseans will be able to enjoy In-N-Out’s fresh hamburgers and shakes, starting on Wednesday, Dec. 10, as its two locations will open doors to the public.

The first Tennessee locations will be in Lebanon and Antioch, the company said, as the new restaurants will be managed by long-time In-N-Out employees, who have collectively spent nearly six decades with the company.

Each Tennessee location will employ about 75 people, with the starting wage of $17.50 per hour.

The minimum wage for the state, which does not have its own mandated minimum wage law, is $7.25 per hour, set at the federal level by the Fair Labor Standards Act.

“As part of its Mission Purpose Statement, In-N-Out Burger is committed to assisting all communities in its marketplace to become stronger, safer, and better places to live,” the company said in a statement, announcing the grand openings.

Lynsi Snyder, the CEO of the family-owned business, said in July that In-N-Out is building a second headquarters in Franklin, Tennessee.

The granddaughter of founder Harry Snyder said during an appearance on a podcast, it “is not easy” to operate a business and raise a family in California.

The fast-food chain will maintain its Southern California headquarters after closing down the Irvine office by 2029 and reestablish the western territory headquarters in Baldwin Park, the city where the first ever In-N-Out location opened in 1948.
