ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) — The 2025 Walk to End Alzheimer’s is coming to Siena University on Saturday, October 25. There is still time to get involved, and join people affected by the disease as they raise awareness and find community.
Todd Shimkus, a board member with the local chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association, knows all too well how the disease affects both those who have it, and those who care for a loved one dealing with it. His mother, Amy, lived with Alzheimer’s for more than a decade, and he now walks in her honor at multiple events each year.
