Hans Zimmer's cinematic concert experience comes to St. Louis

ST.LOUIS – The legendary Hans Zimmer, a multi-award-winning film composer, will be showcasing his new, cinematic concert experience, “The World of Hans Zimmer: A New Dimension,” at the Chafetz Arena.

With several box-office hits such as “Interstellar,” “Gladiator” and “The Lion King,” the self-taught musician has been captivating audiences for decades.

Zimmer and Grammy nominated conductor Matt Dunkley, are captivating audiences with their world-class ensemble of soloists and orchestras by reimagining Zimmer’s most notable film scores.

The scores will be played live with synchronizing visuals of scenes from the films, providing an unforgettable immersive experience that pushes boundaries on how we interact with live soundtracks.

Dunkley, a longtime friend and colleague, has worked on 200 movies, and conducted concerts in multiple well-known symphonies around the world is excited to work with Zimmer as they curate such a spectacular event.

“Together we developed an interesting program that takes audiences on a journey through 40 years of his film scores,” Dunkley said.

Audience members are set to experience Zimmer’s unique new orchestral suites combined with visually stunning projections, creating the ultimate live music experience on Wednesday, Sept. 24.
