SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. (NEWS10) — Universal Preservation Hall will be hosting an evening of jazz mastery with a performance by the Branford Marsalis Quartet. The concert is set for February 27.
The ensemble’s leader Branford Marsalis is a three-time Grammy Award winner who formerly led the Tonight Show Band. He’s released over 30 albums between his quartet and his solo work throughout his multi-decade career.
Marsalis is the son of pianist Ellis Marsalis Jr. and brother of trumpeter Wynton Marsalis. The Friday show in Saratoga is scheduled to kick off at 7:30 p.m.
