WILTON, N.Y. (NEWS10) — A Gansevoort man was arrested after allegedly hitting two people with his vehicle on purpose. Timothy Besaw, 34, faces multiple charges.

- Driving while intoxicated
- Leaving the scene of an accident without reporting
The New York State Police responded to the Walmart in Wilton on October 16 for the report of a disturbance and reported learning that two pedestrians had been intentionally hit with a vehicle. Troopers said Besaw had been stopped by an employee for alleged theft before leaving the store, sitting in the parking lot, engaging in a verbal altercation with an employee, and then hitting two pedestrians with his vehicle following the altercation.
The pedestrians sustained serious, but non-life-threatening injuries. Besaw was taken into custody after he was found with his crashed vehicle on Perry Road in Saratoga Springs, per state police.
The suspect was arraigned in Wilton Town Court and placed in the Saratoga County Correctional Facility in lieu of bail.
