Registration is now open for our next free virtual MinnPost Social event, Through the Lens: MinnPost’s Visual Journalism on Tuesday, Dec. 16 from 5-6 p.m. CT.
Photos and videos can help humanize complex stories and encourage reader engagement. At our next MinnPost Social, hear from MinnPost’s full-time visual journalist Ellen Schmidt about how she approaches stories and works alongside reporters to illustrate everything from nursing home regulation to immigration policy to economic challenges. We’ll share some highlights from Ellen’s coverage in 2025, learn about the Catchlight visual network MinnPost is part of and find out more about what’s planned for MinnPost’s visuals in 2026. This conversation will be moderated by MinnPost editor Elizabeth Dunbar.
This Q&A session is part of our MinnPost Social event series, presented by Darla Kashian — RBC Wealth Management and Great River Energy, in which MinnPost journalists share insights with audience members in a casual atmosphere.
REGISTER NOW. This event is free, but registration is required. You’ll receive the virtual event link and details after you’ve signed up. If you have any questions, please email us at members@minnpost.com.
