No surprises on the Eagles’ final injury report of Week 14.
Jalen Carter (shoulders) and Lane Johnson (foot) have both been ruled out for the Chargers game on Monday Night Football after missing the entire week of practice. Everyone else on the 53-man roster is good to go.
Here are the game statuses ahead of the game:
Out: DT Jalen Carter (shoulders), RT Lane Johnson (foot)
Questionable: S Marcus Epps (shoulder), OT Myles Hinton (back)
The Chargers, meanwhile, have listed starting quarterback Justin Herbert (non-throwing hand) as questionable. Herbert had surgery on that left hand earlier in the week. While reports out of LA suggest Herbert will play, Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni said they have been preparing for either quarterback. The Chargers’ backup is Trey Lance.
Both Epps and Hinton (listed as questionable) are still on IR but have been practicing after having their practice windows opened. It’s expected that Epps will be activated and all signs are pointing toward him starting against the Chargers.
The three players who were limited on Thursday — Jaelan Phillips (concussion), Zack Baun (hand) and Jahan Dotson (toe) — were all full participants on Friday and are good to go. Phillips has cleared the NFL’s concussion protocol.
Landon Dickerson returned to practice on Saturday as a full participant after getting a rest day on Friday. Dickerson, 27, has battled through several different injuries this season and has started 11 of 12 games.
“I think he’s done a really nice job,” Sirianni said on Saturday. “Landon’s so powerful of being able to move people off the spot. He’s so critical for our offense to be able to help identify defenses and different things like that. And so I think he’s had a lot of good moments in the season and has played good football. Obviously as an entire offense, we want us all to be more consistent as coaches and players, so there’s going to be plays everybody wants back, but Landon’s done a nice job.”
Hinton’s 21-day practice window expires next week. The Eagles will have to either activate him or shut him down for the season.
