Two days after the Eagles’ season ended – prematurely according to many experts and most fans – the team made the decision to relieve offensive coordinator Kevin Patullo of his duties.
It was a decision that was long in the making. The team’s offense, which was ranked in the top ten in each of the previous three seasons, struggled through 2025, finishing 24th of 32 teams in total yards. While there is plenty of blame to go around, fans had found their scapegoat. Some had thrown eggs at his house earlier in the season after a loss.
When the decision came down, the reaction on X was quick and nearly unanimous.
You can say this about Eagles fans: they may not show the most decorum, but they’re never late.
