GUILDERLAND, N.Y. (NEWS10) — A dog that was left in a now-closed animal boarding facility in Altamont is back with its owner. Guilderland police said they were able to retrieve Angel Friday, and she is in good condition.
Angel belongs to Michelle Willi, who said her other dog Diesel died while in the care of Meadowdale Acres Boarding Facility. The owners of the facility, Marilyn and Stuart Reese and Jonathan Tenney, were in court on Thursday to face animal abuse charges.
The Mohawk Hudson Humane Society determined that Diesel had suffered extreme malnourishment. The boarding facility owners claim it was a tragic accident.
Their next court date is scheduled for Oct. 30.
