DENVER (KDVR) — Afternoon rain and thunderstorm chances remain in Denver’s weather forecast through the week.

A severe thunderstorm watch has been issued for parts of eastern Colorado until 9 p.m. for storms that could be strong to severe, producing large hail and damaging wind gusts through the evening.
Weather tonight: Showers clearing
Showers and thunderstorms will linger Tuesday evening, before clearing tonight. Low temperatures will fall to the mid-50s, which is almost 5 degrees warmer than normal for this time of year.

Weather tomorrow: Partly sunny, warm
Wednesday will be partly sunny, followed by a few afternoon showers and storms by the afternoon, mostly in higher elevations. Temperatures will reach the upper 80s, which is a little more than 5 degrees above normal for this time of year.

Looking ahead: Shower and thunderstorm chances, cooler weekend
Thursday, temperatures will reach the mid-80s alongside increasing clouds as high temperatures climb to the mid-80s.

Afternoon shower chances increase on Friday, limiting high temperatures to the lower 80s. Saturday, temperatures will be capped in the upper 70s alongside morning sunshine and a few afternoon showers. Sunshine returns Sunday and into the workweek with seasonal temperatures starting in the 50s, then climbing to a high in the lower 80s.
