DENVER (KDVR) — After another warm and sunny day, cooler temperatures and the chance for showers will move into Denver’s weather forecast.
A flood watch will start Thursday evening and continue through Sunday for parts of west and southwestern Colorado. Heavy rainfall totaling 1 to 3 inches through the weekend could lead to flooding, especially in burn scars, low-lying areas and other flood-prone areas.
Weather tonight: Mainly cloudy, mild
Thursday night will stay mainly cloudy. A few showers will continue, mainly in the high country. Temperatures will fall to the 50s, which is 10 to 15 degrees above normal for this time of year.

Weather tomorrow: Cloudy, chance for showers
Friday, clouds will linger as showers build back into the high country and work their way toward the Front Range by the afternoon and evening. Temperatures will be cooler than Thursday, but still about 5 degrees warmer than normal for this time of year, and reach the mid-70s.

Looking ahead: Weekend shower chances, cooler
Saturday won’t be a washout, but there will be a chance for a few afternoon showers. Temperatures will again be above normal and reach the mid-70s.

Sunday will be a sunny and breezy day ahead of a cold front, with high temperatures reaching the low to mid-70s.

Monday starts the week with sunny and cooler, but more seasonal temperatures, reaching a high in the 60s. Temperatures just to the 70s in the metro Tuesday and Wednesday, while more rain builds into the southwest corner of the state.
