A cause of death has been determined after two coworkers were found dead inside of a vehicle earlier this month.
According to authorities, 20-year-old Yeisemar Morales-Sanchez and 32-year-old Kirby Graham were found dead inside of a vehicle parked on the side of a road in the 700 block of Coventry Lane in Crystal Lake.
Police were called to the scene on the morning of November 4 for a report of two individuals who were possibly asleep inside of a vehicle at the location.
Authorities arrived and found a woman and a man “unresponsive and with no obvious signs of injury.”
Responders attempted life-saving measures but they were unsuccessful and the pair were pronounced dead at the scene.
After an autopsy performed by the McHenry County Coroner’s Office, both individuals died as a result of carbon monoxide toxicity. It is believed the vehicle, driven by Graham, had a defective exhaust system.
The manner of death was found to be an accident, according to the McHenry County Coroner’s Office.
No further information was immediately available.
