Deadline nears for St. Louis County senior tax freeze applications

ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. – The clock is ticking toward the deadline of applying for the senior tax freeze in St. Louis County.

Homeowners have until Sept. 30, one week from Tuesday, to make sure their paperwork is in order.

Postcards have been sent to thousands of homeowners with incomplete applications. Around 11,800 applications remain incomplete.

If you received one in the mail, according to St. Louis County Executive Sam Page, you need to act right away.

“You can either call the department of revenue and ask, or come to our office,” said Page. “We ask that you don’t call unless your application is incomplete. We want to save our phone lines for people that have incomplete applications so we can help them get those done.”

Next week, additional employees will be available at three satellite offices:

  • North County Government Center – 715 Northwest Plaza Drive, St. Ann, MO
    63074
  • West County Government Center – 70 Clarkson Wilson Center, Chesterfield, MO
    63017
  • South County Government Center – 4554 Lemay Ferry Road, St. Louis, MO
    63129

The hours will be 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at each location with the final walk-in being taken at 4 p.m.
