Coworkers found dead in car on side of suburban road identified

Two people found dead inside a vehicle parked on the side of a northwest suburban road with “no obvious signs of injury” have been identified.

The McHenry County Coroner’s office said 20-year-old Yeisimar Morales-Sanchez, of Crystal Lake, and 32-year-old Kirby Graham, of Grayslake, were both found dead early Tuesday morning.

No cause of death was given but autopsies will be conducted Thursday, Dr. Michael Rein confirmed.

The coroner’s office told NBC Chicago the pair were coworkers, but little information on what happened to them has been released.

According to police, Crystal Lake officers and firefighters were called just after 5:30 a.m. for a report of two people possibly asleep in a vehicle parked on the roadway in the 700 block of Coventry Lane.

Authorities arrived and found a woman and a man “unresponsive and with no obvious signs of injury.”

Responders attempted life-saving measures but they were unsuccessful and the pair were pronounced dead at the scene.

“This case is considered an active investigation. While we are still gathering evidence, we are confident there is no danger to the public as a result of this incident,” the Crystal Lake Police Department said in a release.

Anyone with information on what may have happened is asked to contact the department at (815) 356-3620 or text anonymously using the word CLPDTIP and the information to 847411.

The incident follows another situation in the northwest suburbs in which a husband and wife were both found shot to death in a vehicle parked on the side of the road with their hazard lights on.
